Each week the Burrito Blogger staff brings you their picks on what to watch on Netflix for the weekend!
As always, all titles can be found on Netflix and the ratings vary from all ages.
LOVE (Seasons 1-2), Netflix Original (TV-MA)
Picked by Burrito Blogger August Aguilar (@AugustAA92)
In honor of Love season 2 dropping today on Netflix, my choice is this series. If you haven’t watched the show before, I definitely recommend going back and giving the first season a chance. It is a comedy drama series developed by Judd Apatow that follows two individuals that can’t decide to be friends or lovers. The plot is really good and the humor is quirky, honest, and awkward. A great show all around, I’ll be binge watching season 2 this weekend with a full review later. For now, check out the first review we did on season one here.
Tenacious D and The Pick of Destiny (R)
Picked by Burrito Blogger Mark Glotzbach (@markglotzbach)
Just hit Netflix, always fun to see Jack Black and Kyle Gass break in to buildings, do drugs, and fight Satan.
The Best of Me (PG-13)
Picked by Burrito Blogger Alexa Boggs (@alexaboggs)
Another wonderful adaptation of Nicholas Spark’s novel, be sure to get the tissues ready.
Good Will Hunting (R)
Picked by Burrito Blogger Max Newman
An all time classic with great performances from Robin Williams and Matt Damon. Heck, even Ben Affleck was pretty darn good, too. It’s a drama that focuses around the future of a young genius. That summary doesn’t do it justice. If you haven’t seen it yet do yourself a favor and watch it.
Picked by Burrito Blogger Ryne Brown (@rynekbrown)
Starring the late Alan Rickman as Hilly Krystal tells the true story of the famous punk rock club of the 70’s in New York City. Surrounded by an outstanding cast including Donald Louge as Krystal’s brother and a soundtrack that includes The Ramones, Iggy Pop, Talking Heads, and much more. If you’re a fan of Alan Rickman, this is one of his best performances on screen.
Picked by Burrito Blogger Nicholas S. Cram (@instacram19)
Super uncomfortable but hilarious show with Catherine O’hara, Eugene Levy and his son.
