Rest In Peace, Adam West

The Man, the Legend, the BATMAN.

Remembering an Icon

Adam West, the actor who infamously played the iconic role of Bruce Wayne in the classic Batman series in the 1960’s has passed away after a battle with leukemia today. He was 88.

“Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives. He was and always will be our hero,” – Family statement

West was always known for his charismatic on screen presence as the Caped Crusader, but you may also know him from the TV show Family Guy where he voiced an animated character version of himself.

Though the icon has passed, his presence will live on with us forever. West appeared in a number of other TV shows and films but in our hearts he will always be fun and loving Batman and mayor of Quahog. Recently, West was actually able to reprise his classic Batman character along side his TV partner Burt Ward (Robin) in the animated movie Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.

West is survived by his wife, Marcelle Tagand Lear, and his six children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
